No, this is the only pen that has this style of large permanent cartridge. I am wondering why other manufacturers don't follow this. I have asked other Indian fountain pen group members but even they don't know any similar pens with an ink filling system like this.

need some clarity before getting my first fountain pen
I tried using a fountain pen in grade 5 (8yrs ago), it was super cheap, around 50rs (i.e 0.6-0.7 USD), and it leaked alot from near the nib area. Is any leaking issue with the platinum preppy? is it true that fountain pens do not work well on all papers/most common papers?

Which is the best fp from every fountain pen brand?
I'm sure everyone has their own opinions. But IMHO, Lamy -- 2000. Pelikan -- m1000, mostly 'cause I like the soft nib . Pilot -- 823, the plunger makes a good weight & balance, I need the ink capacity . Kaweco -- sport, it's cheap & convenient & sturdy pocket-pen; eyedroppers . Wing Sung -- 630, I like the 699 but the 630 stole my heart, and it fits right in with pricier pens
