I have a 308, 6.5 Creedmoor and just converted a 6.5 Grendel to 6 ARC. All of the various calibers are plenty capable but some have a few drawbacks. 6 ARC does everything the 6.5 Grendel does but better. Better velocity, less drop and drift, retains energy down range better. If you're gonna use it for deer hunting it's a 300 yard and in cartridge.

Kimber Montana and a leupold scope. This is my exact setup and I have roughly 2k in it but my caliber is a 300wsm. Extremely accurate. Impervious to everything. Has been in Colorado with me a few times with week long rain. Still brought home several elk. Killed quite a few deer and a nice wild hog with it. Can’t speak highly enough of this setup.
